Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Night Porter/Receptionist to ensure the smooth and secure operation of our facility during overnight hours. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with custodial duties, providing a welcoming environment for guests while maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the premises. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional service while upholding high standards of cleanliness and security.
Responsibilities
* Greet and assist guests, visitors, and contractors arriving during night shifts, ensuring a positive first impression.
* Monitor security systems, conduct regular patrols, and oversee access control to maintain a safe environment.
* Handle all front desk duties including answering phone calls, managing inquiries, and directing visitors appropriately.
* Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to keep common areas tidy and presentable.
* Conduct janitorial and custodial duties including floor care, buffing, and basic maintenance to uphold cleanliness standards.
* Support facilities maintenance activities such as light repairs, reporting issues promptly, and assisting with general upkeep.
* Maintain accurate logs of shift activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure thorough documentation.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a focus on commercial or industrial cleaning environments.
* Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and polishing.
* Previous porter or facilities maintenance experience is highly desirable.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform routine cleaning tasks efficiently.
* Ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the facility, and perform physical tasks comfortably.
* Excellent communication skills coupled with a friendly demeanor suitable for guest interaction.
