The Role
The School Caretaker will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, security and upkeep of the school site. This is a practical and varied role requiring reliability, attention to detail and a proactive approach to health and safety.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Opening and securing the school buildings
* Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs and site checks
* Supporting health and safety compliance and reporting issues
* Assisting with room setups for events and activities
* Liaising with contractors and supervising works on site
Candidate Profile
* Experience in a caretaking, maintenance or facilities role (school experience desirable)
* Practical skills in basic repairs and site maintenance
* Good understanding of health and safety procedures
* Reliable, organised and able to work independently
* Professional and approachable manner when working around students and staff
* Strong commitment to safeguarding and site security
