Reporting to the UK Plant Finance Manager, the successful candidate will support a range of finance tasks for a rapidly expanding manufacturing business. Main duties will include cost control, forecasting and reporting for new and current programs.
Outline And Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed reports on actual costs to share with finance and operations.
* Perform analysis of the cost base to constructively challenge spend and identify cost saving opportunities.
* Support preparation of annual cost budgets and periodic forecasting.
* Business partnering with operations to identify and deliver cost improvement initiatives.
* Support ad hoc projects as required by the business.
Qualifications
Background and Experience Required:
* Knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting essential.
* Must be a team player, willing to take on tasks to support the needs of the business.
* Must have excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
* Must have excellent communicate skills to convey findings effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Additional
* Ideal for someone studying a degree in finance or accounting.
* Knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting useful.
* Work experience in finance desirable but not required.
* Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel desirable.
