As a Qualified PE Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, developing schemes of work that motivate students of all abilities. You will foster a safe and inclusive environment where pupils can participate, enjoy, and excel in physical activity. You will also contribute to the school’s extensive programme of extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and competitions, helping to nurture talent and broaden participation.

Responsibilities include:

* Planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils.

* Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress in line with school policies.

* Creating an inclusive environment that promotes enjoyment, achievement, and physical wellbeing.

* Organising, coaching, and supporting extracurricular clubs, teams, and inter-school competitions.

* Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of learners of all abilities, including those with SEN.

* Supporting the school’s ethos by encouraging resilience, teamwork, and respect through sport.

* Contributing to department planning, whole-school initiatives, and professional development.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching PE across KS3–KS4.

* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students through a wide range of sports and activities.

* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

* A proven track record of raising achievement and encouraging participation in physical activity.
