Community Support Worker - Adult Disability Domiciliary Service - West Lancs | Full time
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, flexible people who would enjoy supporting adults with disabilities to live the lives they want.
The Service supports people with learning disabilities in their own homes 24 hours a day and involves Sleep in Duties and weekend work, for both of which you will receive an increment.
The support worker role involves all aspects of daily support, including supporting people to access activities and experiences in their local community, personal care, support with managing finance, administering medication and ensuring people's needs are met in terms of health and positive outcomes.
Key Accountabilities:
* To support people with disabilities, including individuals with profound and complex needs, using person centred approaches to enable people to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
* To support people with dignity and respect in order to meet their day to day needs, including personal care support.
* To support individuals to access a range of opportunities and experiences, either from their own home or in a community setting, including for example swimming, walking, bowling, dancing, shopping etc.
* To work in accordance with relevant national legislation and service specific policies and practice guidelines at all times.
Skills And Experience:
Experience of working with adults who have a learning disability is desirable but not essential as you will be given the necessary support and training to undertake this role.
Applicants who do not hold NVQ Level 3 at the time of appointment will be required to complete QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care within the first 2 years of employment.
