What You’ll Be Doing
* You will be involved in a wide range of projects including Nature-based Solutions, Sustainable Drainage (SuDS) Design, and large-scale civil engineering projects, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.
* BWB adopts a truly open, collaborative atmosphere where you will be encouraged to find solutions to issues arising on your own projects, taking on board the advice, skills, and expertise of others across our many disciplines and supported through our graduate training scheme.
* As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering schemes of varying size, with support from a dedicated project manager and the team around you. This includes devising appropriate solutions, producing drawings, authoring reports, and interpreting calculations/software outputs.
* You will be highly organized, enthusiastic to learn, and will be curious with the aim of becoming technically independent. The role will be focused on servicing both internal and external clients as part of a delivery team and under the direction of a Team Leader.
* The ideal candidate will be dynamically seeking personal development, willing to accept challenges, and thrive within a growing and diverse engineering environment.
What You’ll Bring
* A relevant engineering or similar degree or studying towards a relevant degree for the role you are applying for.
* Sound grasp of key hydraulic and drainage principles and ideally some knowledge of relevant software packages, including GIS software, although training will be provided.
* Interest in challenges facing the natural environment such as flood risk and climate change.
* Keen to share your ideas about how we can do things better.
* Great communication skills developed through well‑rounded life experience – academically, socially, and in any previous work situations.
* Enthusiastic and ambitious to learn and progress.
* A problem solver with strong communication skills.
* Personal organization skills, and the ability to work well within a team.
* Right to work and live in the UK.
* Willingness to travel and a full driving licence are essential.
