Learning Support Mentor – Health & Personal Care
Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Mentor – Health & Personal Care to join our Supported Learning team at our Cambridge Campus.
Term time full time (37 hours) maternity cover fixed term until July 2027. Salary £21,355 – £21,890 per annum, equivalent to £24,577 – £25,192 per annum plus staff benefits.
Responsibilities
* Support students with a range of learning difficulties and other disabilities.
* Enable reasonable adjustments to help students engage.
* Mentor students and encourage them to remain on task.
* Model skills so that the student can understand the tasks.
* Assist with Personal Care and health needs.
* Promote our college values.
Qualifications
* GCSE English grade C / 4 or equivalent – or willing to work towards gaining this qualification.
* Happy to undergo relevant training.
* Enjoy working across college faculties i.e. supporting students on a variety of courses.
* Have recent and demonstrable experience of working with people with special education needs (desirable, but not essential).
* A positive can do attitude, sensitive to others needs, patient and reliable.
* A team player yet also able to work independently.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
