We are looking for a HR Generalist to work with our UK Team and support our Maldon, Essex site and operations teams by providing HR support. The role will be responsible for employee relations, engagement, development, and recruitment in support of company values and business objectives. To be successful in the role you must be passionate about providing excellent customer service by building partnerships and being responsive to the needs of our teams and leadership. Our UK business has a team across the country and whilst the initial focus will be in Maldon, the role will also on occasions remotely support Burton on Trent. Key responsibilities & how you will make an impact: - HR support, ensuring alignment with business and strategic initiatives, and human resources best practices. (e.g., talent recruitment, development, and training; engagement; succession planning; performance management; legal/regulatory compliance; compensation, safety and benefit policies and practices). - Educate, support, and follow up with leaders and managers regarding execution of human resources policies, processes and initiatives, and handling employee relations issues. - Oversee relations investigations, interviews, documentation and follow up, supporting the administration of appropriate follow up. - Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership and facilitate escalation, as needed. - Provide operational support as needed. - Provide data analysis and reporting based on business needs. Support in handling HR administrative data transactions and processes in support of the business. - Partner with HR team on special projects or processes involving Performance Management, HR Systems, Training, Career/Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Compensation and Benefits - Identify and implement process improvement opportunities by leveraging technology and streamlining administrative related tasks. - Administer human resources policies and procedures, with attention to confidentiality, timeliness, privacy, and fairness. - Support best practices with HR team to develop and coordinate programs and events. The successful candidate will have proven human resources experience, in a manufacturing environment or similar. Experience of working with unions would be beneficial but not essential. You will be highly analytical, able to work independently, set daily priorities and should have excellent time management. A high degree of professionalism is required with clients and peers. You will be a collaborative team-player with exhibited ability to work independently and flexibility to move between projects. You will be a creative,agile thinker with ability to embrace and leverage current and new technology to support the business. Thoroughness and confidentiality are essential. A degree or equivalent experience is preferred as is a Human Resources certification - CIPD Level 5.
