This role is based in a state of the art fabrication facility, delivering projects from concept CAD design through to manufacture. We provide premium workshop solutions to leading luxury and sports car manufacturers, motorbike brands, and motorsport teams. Our services include CNC panel bending, laser cutting, powder coating, and assembly.
We are seeking a Machine Setter / Operator with proven skill and precision, able to work with a range of sheet metal fabrication machinery—laser cutters, press brakes, panel benders and punch presses—to produce components to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain sheet metal fabrication machinery, delivering required output volumes.
* Set up and adjust machines according to engineering drawings and job instructions.
* Carry out quality checks to ensure all parts meet specified tolerances.
* Undertake routine machine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication.
* Report malfunctions or technical issues promptly to supervisors.
* Complete production records accurately.
* Identify and manage defects, ensuring quality is maintained.
* Collaborate closely with the Manufacturing team.
* Contribute to continuous improvement in quality, performance, and efficiency.
* Maintain a safe and well-organised working environment.
* Support additional production tasks as required.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Machine Setter / Operator, ideally in a sheet metal fabrication setting.
* Hands-on experience with laser cutting, press brakes, or comparable machinery (highly advantageous).
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
* Strong knowledge of metal cutting techniques, tolerances, and machine troubleshooting.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
* Proactive approach with a “can-do” attitude, completing tasks to deadline.
* Effective team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to prioritise work and operate independently when required.
* Forklift licence desirable.
