The post holder will be required to travel and work at employer locations Own car essential for this role, including clean driving licence with business insurance. Key Responsibilities Purpose To develop a pathway for learners to move towards employment/apprenticeship through coaching and systematic instruction. To provide information, advice, guidance and support to young people who have barriers to entering training or employment. To set up work placements and monitor progress in accordance with the organizational policies. To support learners in the preparation for employment at the end of the course. To apply a nurturing and empathetic approach to behaviour management, in line with the trauma-informed approach values of the organisation. Establish respectful and trusting relationships within and outside the College, with learners and employers, acting as a role model and setting high standards. Work with employers/organisations to look at job opportunities and ways to support learners in the placement. Carry out initial health and safety checks prior to placing learners for work experience. Contribute to and maintain individual learning plans for learners, including transition goals. Maintain accurate records of the learners work experience/volunteering in line with regular review of progress. Support learners in applying for placements/volunteering opportunities. Through the use of Training in Systematic Instruction, support learners in their placements as required. Identify training needs for learners in relevant skill and knowledge areas that link to employability skills. Liaise with Pastoral Support Worker and Safeguarding team in the case of pastoral/safeguarding care. Work with employers to look at job carving to create appropriate work experience opportunities. Maintain accurate records as required for monitoring, quality and audit in accordance with Hopwood Hall policies. In particular, ensure records are contemporaneous in preparation for EHCP reviews. Ensure learner targets are set and embedded in ProMonitor. Manage own workload, prioritizing effectively to meet agreed objectives and deadlines. Identify and refer students for travel training where appropriate. Apply for Access to Work funding where appropriate. Commit to flexible working hours. Ensure compliance with processes and procedures. Provide support to other team members. Attend team meetings and training as required. Any other duties required by Programme Manager. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Qualifications Essential Criteria: GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English grade C/4 or equivalent Autism qualification L2 (willing to achieve in first 12 months of employment).
