Job Summary
This role is perfect for someone with at least 12 months' experience in a children's residential home, who is passionate about making a real impact. Working alongside an experienced and supportive management team, you'll play a key role in creating a positive, nurturing home environment where young people feel safe, supported, and empowered.
Key Responsibilities
Support and occasionally deputise for your Manager.
Lead shifts, ensuring staff understand how to work positively with our children, helping them develop, form relationships, feel loved and keep them safe.
Support young people in a range of activities, including cooking, cleaning, outings, and taking part in games and appointments.
·Manage challenging behaviours effectively and professionally, with support from senior staff.
Maintain clear, accurate records and help develop and implement plans.
Specifications
A great attitude
Compassionate, empathetic and nurturing nature
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with our children, their families and other professionals.
Ability to drive and possession of a valid driving licence-or a desire to learn.
The ability to work as part of a team, lead a team, follow instruction and challenge poor practice.

We are looking for people with at least 12 months care experience who is able to work shifts. Our shifts are generally 1 on followed by 2 off, including sleep-in shifts.
You will need to be able to engage with our children, helping them develop strong, secure relationships.
You will need to be able to lead by example, being an excellent role model for our staff and children.
You will need to be able to help our children manage their behaviours calmly and effectively.
Holding a L3 or above in residential childcare is advantageous but not a deal breaker. You will be required to complete appropriate training.

Pay: Up to £39,275.00 per year

Schedule:

Basic: £30500-£34.100 with the addition of up to 10 sleep shifts per month at £55 per night.
