Job Description

About AttiFin AI

At AttiFin AI, we're transforming financial operations through intelligent automation and advanced analytics and we're doing it with a team that truly loves the challenge. From machine learning and data engineering to financial systems integration, we build scalable, secure AI solutions that help organisations streamline processes, sharpen decision-making, and unlock new efficiencies. Grounded in collaboration, transparency, and continuous growth, we've built an environment where talented people thrive, innovate, and do the best work of their careers.

The Role

We're looking for a Business Analyst who thrives in a start-up environment and can operate with a high degree of autonomy. This is not a back-office reporting role — you'll be embedded across the business, shaping our understanding of the market, supporting live pilots with clients, and helping translate complex legal workflows into product and commercial opportunities.

You'll work closely with product, engineering, sales, and leadership to ensure that what we build is grounded in real market needs and delivers clear value to legal professionals. The ideal candidate brings a blend of analytical rigour, commercial awareness, and genuine curiosity about both AI and the legal sector.

What You'll Do

Market Intelligence & Research

You will continuously monitor the legal AI landscape, tracking competitors, emerging trends, regulatory shifts, and evolving buyer expectations. You'll synthesise this into clear, actionable insight that informs product direction and go-to-market strategy. The market moves quickly — we need someone who stays ahead of it, not behind it.

Pilot Support & Client Engagement

You will play a hands-on role in supporting pilot programmes with clients — from scoping and setup through to tracking outcomes and gathering feedback. You'll work directly with pilot clients to understand their workflows, define success metrics, and ensure we're learning as much as possible from every engagement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

You will act as a connective thread across the team, working with product managers, engineers, designers, and commercial leads to ensure alignment. You'll gather and structure requirements, facilitate prioritisation discussions, and help the team make informed decisions with the best available data. In a start-up of our size, this means rolling up your sleeves and contributing wherever you're needed.

Autonomous Delivery

You will own your workstream end to end. We're looking for someone who can identify what needs doing, structure their own approach, and deliver without needing to be managed closely. You'll be trusted to make judgment calls, flag risks early, and drive initiatives forward independently.

What We're Looking For

Essential

* Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst, or similar role, ideally within a start-up or high-growth environment.
* Strong research and analytical skills — you can take ambiguous questions, structure an approach, and deliver clear findings.
* Experience developing value propositions, business cases, or commercial collateral.
* Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams, communicating effectively with both.
* Comfort with ambiguity and a genuine ability to work autonomously — you don't wait to be told what to do.
* A keen interest in AI, technology, and how it's reshaping industries.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly Desirable

* Legal experience — whether that's a law degree, paralegal experience, time spent at a law firm, or experience in legal tech. Understanding how legal professionals think and work will be a significant advantage.
* Experience supporting or managing pilot programmes, proof-of-concept projects, or early-stage client engagements.
* Familiarity with the legal technology market and its key players.

What We Offer

* The opportunity to shape a product and company from an early stage.
* A collaborative, low-ego team where your contributions are visible and valued.
* Exposure to cutting-edge AI technology and the legal industry.
* Autonomy and ownership over your work.

Diversity & Inclusion

At AttiFin, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute. We believe that diverse perspectives drive better outcomes, and we actively encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities. We are dedicated to creating an environment where everyone can thrive and bring their authentic selves to work.
