Are you an experienced professional in vehicle maintenance and repair coordination looking for a dynamic and rewarding role? We are seeking a Maintenance and Collision Repair Coordinator to manage the efficient operation of Workshop Control and Reception Services, ensuring timely and cost-effective repairs and maintenance of our entire fleet of Police vehicles.
Main Purpose of the Role:
You will oversee workshop operations, liaise with suppliers, manage vehicle collections and deliveries, and ensure repairs are completed efficiently. You’ll also provide detailed accident estimates and financial reporting to support insurance claims, all while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage workshop control and reception, allocating and prioritising repair work.
2. Monitor vehicle servicing, inspections, recalls, and repair progress.
3. Supervise Transport Drivers, ensuring efficient scheduling and utilisation.
4. Administer accident and recovery paperwork, compile estimates and invoices.
5. Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure timely and secure service delivery.
6. Provide technical advice on vehicle servicing, repairs, and modifications.
7. Maintain accurate records and update the Fleet Management System.
8. Promote and ensure health and safety compliance within the workshop environment.
Essential Requirements:
9. Minimum 3 years’ experience in the motor trade working in a busy workshop environment.
10. Strong knowledge of vehicle faults, servicing, and warranty procedures.
11. Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
12. Ability to manage customer expectations professionally.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems quickly.
14. Willingness to travel and cover for the Workshop Controller when required.
Desirable:
15. Audatex Accident Repair Estimating qualification to BS10125 standard.

20. Experience managing a team of drivers for vehicle collections, deliveries, and breakdowns coordination.
21. Excellent understanding of workshop service scheduling and workshop loading.
22. A strong understanding of Health and Safety practices in a busy workshop environment.
23. Strong customer service and communication skills.
24. Solid organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
