We have an excellent opportunityfor a results-driven, continuous-improvement-focused Operations Associate Director to join the Leadership Team at HS Marstonin Wolverhampton, UK. This role is ideally suited to an experienced leader with a strong manufacturing background and a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Role Overview:
1. In this role, you will lead, mentor, coach, and develop the Operations Management Team while fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
2. You will have full responsibility for the Operations function, including Operational Excellence, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, and Logistics.
3. You will lead anoperationsmanagement team and approximately 150 indirect reports, delivering over $200M in annual sales and executing the site’s Operations strategy.
What you will do:
4. As a member of the site Leadership Team, contribute to building and sustaining a high-performance culture aligned with Collins Aerospace vision, values, and behaviours
5. Create, align, and execute operational strategies that enable business success and long-term growth
6. Lead the Operations team to achieve outstanding delivery, quality, and cost performance, while building functional capability and accountability
7. Evolve operational capabilities to meet current and future customer requirements and enable new commercial opportunities
8. Serve as the primary senior interface with key supporting functions including Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and HR
9. Manage operational budgets to promote profitability and ensure resources are effectively deployed within agreed financial parameters
10. Mentor, coach, and develop leaders across the Operations organisation to build a strong and sustainable management team
Skills / Experience we value:

12. Customer-focused leader with broad experience managing complex production activities, particularly assembly, fabrication, and machining, across multiple customer and supplier interfaces
13. Demonstrated ability to motivate, engage, and support teams to achieve operational and business objectives
14. Solid understanding of structured problem-solving techniques and their application in resolving production and quality issues
15. Working knowledge of Lean principles and applied continuous improvement practices, with a passion for improving operational performance
16. Strong communicationskills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation
17. Experience gained within Operations / Manufacturing environment with demonstrated knowledge of automation and welding proceses.
