A dynamic and innovative colleague would work in a progressive Trust, that has invested in a complete Emergency Department refurbishment and Digital Clinical System. GPOOH is part of the Urgent and Emergency Care Directorate. The team has a Clinical Lead who is supported by the Urgent and Emergency Care Director and Operational Team. The GPOOH service provides care for the acutely ill as well as self-referred NHS111/ED patients. The department sees approximately 80,000 patients per year. We are supported by in-patient teams from medicine, surgery, paediatrics and critical care. Hours per week: 14 hours - 4 hours Clinical Lead and 10 hours salaried GP Main duties of the job The successful candidates will be expected to work flexibly to deliver high quality care with particular emphasis on the following: Clinical We prioritise direct patient care. GPs work clinical shifts across the week, and fulfil a wide range of shifts. Best practice and clinical audit We have a clear governance structure with a focus on patient safety and quality of care. There are regular governance meetings. We take part in audits and have a portfolio of NIHR research - currently the best recruiting district general hospital in the region. Teaching and educational supervision The department has a strong focus on education - using traditional teaching, shop floor education and simulation to enhance whole team learning. About us NHS Medical and Dental salaries are set at a national level. For new starters not already working to UK Medical and Dental terms and conditions of service will be appointed to the minimum paypoint. The starting salary paypoint can only be increased when there is evidence of relevant, completed years experience in terms of nature, type and level of role.
