Igloo are on the lookout for Polishers to join our client’s team based in Southampton. This role offers the successful candidates an excellent opportunity to work within one of the UK’s leading automotive and logistics firms, renowned for its nationwide operations and exceptional customer service.
The Role:
Within this role, you will undertake the following tasks:
1. Final polishing of freshly painted vehicle panels on a range of vehicles.
2. Rectifying paint defects, such as runs in the paint.
3. Flat and polish vehicle panels using a handheld polisher.
4. Performing touch-up work on vehicles as needed.
What kind of person are we looking for?
* Previous experience working within an automotive bodyshop as a polisher, with understanding of vehicle repair methods.
* Experience and knowledge of polishing out runs and defects in freshly painted vehicle panels.
* Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards.
* Hold a full, category B driving licence, with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
