Are you someone who enjoys improving processes, using data to drive decisions and helping teams perform at their best? We’re looking for a Fleet Learning and Deployment Manager to support performance across Royal Mail’s National Distribution and Fleet functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring our KPIs, compliance standards and operational learning programmes are aligned and effective.
About The Role
You will work with operational stakeholders to design development activities, manage data and improve performance across Fleet and National Distribution. You’ll develop systems to track KPIs, support continuous improvement and help strengthen Royal Mail’s compliance scores. This role also works closely with the Learning & Development team to identify training needs and embed best practice across the operation.
Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)
* Design and develop learning activities and curriculum for Fleet and National Distribution.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver Fleet KPIs and performance improvements.
* Build systems to track and manage KPIs and improvements aligned to the Integrated Business Plan.
* Analyse large data sets and produce insights to support cost reduction, compliance and operational improvements.
* Use Continuous Improvement tools to identify gaps and implement solutions.
* Standardise and embed best practice using IT‑based solutions.
* Create data‑driven methodologies to support Fleet and operational teams.
* Visit operational sites to embed processes and share learning.
* Partner with Learning & Development to scope training and upskilling opportunities.
* Lead initiatives that improve Royal Mail’s Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS).
About You
You are analytical, organised and able to communicate clearly with different audiences. You enjoy using data to solve problems and can work independently while building strong relationships across teams.
What You’ll Bring
* Strong analytical skills and ability to present data in different formats.
* Confident communication skills and ability to influence senior managers.
* Understanding of the Integrated Business Plan and KPI structure.
* Knowledge of transport management systems and O‑Licence requirements.
* Ability to interpret OCRS data and develop improvement plans.
* Experience creating learning materials, processes, or communication packages.
* Excellent IT skills and ability to manage high‑volume data.
* Experience across performance management, continuous improvement, Fleet operations, L&D, or communications.
* Relevant qualifications desirable (e.g., CPC, logistics or motor industry).
