KS3 SEMH Teacher
Location: Hillingdon
Salary: £180-£240+ per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Full-time
We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate Key Stage 3 Teacher to deliver a broad and engaging curriculum across multiple subjects. The successful candidate will plan and teach lessons aligned with the National Curriculum in: English, Mathematics, Science, PSHE and Physical Education (PE).
You will create a stimulating learning environment where students feel supported and challenged, using creative teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and encourage positive engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver effective, differentiated lessons across the subjects listed above, following the National Curriculum
Use assessment data to monitor progress and inform future planning
Create an inclusive, trauma-informed classroom environment that supports behaviour for learning
Collaborate with subject leads, support staff, and the pastoral team to ensure holistic student support
Maintain accurate records of assessment, attendance, and progress in line with school policies
Uphold safeguarding and child protection responsibilities at all timesEssential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Proven experience teaching Key Stage 3 students
Strong subject knowledge across English, Maths, Science, PSHE, and Humanities
Experience delivering the National Curriculum and adapting it to meet diverse needs
Experience teaching in an alternative provision, PRU, or specialist education setting
Excellent classroom management, behaviour support, and differentiation skills
Understanding of trauma-informed and inclusive education practices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
