Manpower is currently looking for HGV 2 drivers to work with one of our clients based in Newbridge ( near Edinburgh )
Responsibilities
* Overseeing the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises.
* Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned
* Check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
* Ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards in terms of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.
* Ensuring vehicles are in a safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use & are operated in a safe manner.
Essential Skills for the role
* To hold a valid HGV Class 2 Licence (with no more than 6 points)
* Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card
* Knowledge of working time directive
* Multi-Drop experience
* Experience working with Steel
Hours of work will be dayshift Monday to Friday.
