GSL Education Hull are seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to work within a Alternative Provision Education setting within Hull.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them re-engage with education and achieve their full potential.
The Role as a SEMH Teacher:
* Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
* Supporting students with SEMH, behavioural challenges, and additional learning needs
* Creating a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
* Building strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress
* Implementing behaviour management strategies effectively
* Working collaboratively with support staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies
* Monitoring and assessing pupil progress to support achievement and development
The Ideal SEMH Teacher Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Have experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour
* Be confident managing behaviour positively and consistently
* Possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Be adaptable, patient, and committed to inclusive education
* Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed practice
