Software Engineering – DevOps Engineer (Contract)
Location: Bristol, Generator Building
Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days in office)
Contract Duration: 4/20/2026 – 10/19/2027
Rate: +-£400/day
We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join a high-impact project supporting a key UK client. This is an exciting opportunity to work on critical SAP workloads with a focus on high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) across AWS environments.
What You Will Do
* Configure and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) for SAP workloads
* Design and implement High Availability clusters using Pacemaker and Corosync
* Configure HA for SAP HANA databases and applications
* Implement multi-Availability Zone SAP architectures on AWS
* Configure automatic failover, virtual IPs, and integrate SAP HANA System Replication with Pacemaker clusters
* Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy HA components using Terraform or CloudFormation
* Conduct HA/DR testing, failover drills, and perform root cause analysis
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong experience with RHEL 7/8/9 and clustering on AWS
* Expertise with Pacemaker / Corosync
* Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management
* Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
* Knowledge of SAP HA/DR best practices and SAP on AWS fundamentals
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment
