Role overview
As a Fitness Manager with The Gym Group, you will support the General Manager in the successful running of the gym and will deputize in their absence. You will be passionate about fitness and keen to embrace our members, our teams, and embed our culture. You will embody our company values, supporting and encouraging others to do the same.
Core duties include
1. Responsibility for member engagement by leading our in-gym service offering to drive satisfaction scores.
2. Line management & leadership of our team of fitness trainers, motivating them to excel and role-modeling our values.
3. Ownership of Group Exercise offerings by developing the class timetable and upskilling the team.
4. Driving the gym's commercial performance with a result-driven mindset.
5. Maintaining high operational standards through effective management of cleaning and maintenance, liaising with third-party suppliers.
6. Ensuring compliance with health & safety policies and completing regular checks.
7. Supporting the GM with admin tasks such as rotas, time tracking, and security checks.
8. Acting as a keyholder and point of contact in emergencies.
9. Managing personal training sessions around your employed hours, with the opportunity to retain 100% of your earnings without an annual license fee.
Ideal candidate profile
* Passion for health, fitness, and well-being.
* Proven leadership skills, leading by example and setting standards for member experience.
* Understanding of member expectations and delivering high service levels.
* Experience working within compliance parameters.
* Success record in similar roles and a positive, winning attitude.
* Level 2 qualified Fitness Instructor or currently studying for it.
