We are working in partnership with a leading, employee-owned engineering organisation to recruit an Installation Team Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Installation Engineer ready to step into a leadership role, taking ownership of projects and leading teams on high-value automation installations.

The Role
As an Installation Team Leader, you’ll take responsibility for the successful delivery of installation projects on customer sites across the UK. You’ll lead teams, coordinate contractors, and act as the key point of contact on-site.
This role involves regular travel and staying away from home.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise installation teams on-site
* Act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication throughout projects
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors and third-party contractors
* Oversee installation of mechanical and electrical equipment
* Support and drive commissioning and testing activities
* Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety and Risk Assessments
* Monitor project progress and maintain quality and performance standards
* Complete and review site documentation, reports and quality records
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as an Installation Engineer or Senior Engineer within industrial or automation environments
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
* Time-served apprenticeship or ONC / HNC in Electrical
* Experience managing teams and coordinating contractors on-site
* Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to build relationships on-site
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel and stay away from home regularly
Desirable:
* Working at Heights certification
* FLT licence (training can be provided)
