At CGI, Full Stack Software Engineers deliver impactful, end‑to‑end solutions that enable organisations to innovate, scale, and succeed in a digital‑first world. As we grow our engineering capability across Scotland and Northern Ireland, you’ll help shape modern digital services, combining front‑end creativity with back‑end engineering excellence to deliver real business value.
You will design, build, and deliver secure, scalable full‑stack applications that power critical client services. You’ll take ownership across the full development lifecycle – from shaping architecture and user experiences to deployment and optimisation – and work with multidisciplinary teams and clients to transform ideas into impactful solutions.
The role requires a UK Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one, a flexible hybrid working model, and the ability to travel to client sites as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Design end‑to‑end full‑stack applications.
* Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
* Enhance responsive user interfaces using modern frameworks.
* Develop cloud‑native solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
* Ensure quality and security through testing and engineering best practices.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
* Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
* Improve application performance and reliability.
Essential Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
* Strong proficiency in TypeScript and either Java or Python.
* Experience with modern front‑end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
* Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
* Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD practices.
* Strong problem‑solving and collaborative working skills.
