A leading national civil infrastructure contractor has secured a long-term framework in North Wales and is seeking an experienced Construction CRE (CRE-C) to support delivery across key rail projects. With a strong and growing pipeline of secured work across the North Wales region, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering long-term infrastructure improvements. Projects include footbridge upgrades along the North Wales Coast as part of Network Rail and Transport for Wales accessibility programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake CRE-C duties in line with governance and assurance requirements
* Oversee construction, design, and survey activities
* Manage design changes, technical queries, and approvals
* Ensure delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards
* Coordinate with clients, designers, and subcontractors
* Review methodologies, temporary works, and site activities
* Identify and manage risks at the design–construction interface
* Report progress to the Contractors Engineering Manager
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Construction CRE within the rail sector
* Strong civil and rail engineering knowledge
* Understanding of Network Rail standards and GRIP
* Experience in design coordination and temporary works
* Strong stakeholder and communication skills
