Ward Clerk - The Caludon Centre - Sherbourne PICU Ward

We are looking to recruit a Ward Clerk at The Caludon Centre supporting our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) on one of our Acute Mental Health In-patient Male Wards.
The post-holder will work as part of an integrated team, providing effective admin support to the ward, mainly supporting the Ward Manager and staff.
This is a career development opportunity for motivated individuals interested in an administrative role within the NHS.
Main duties of the job
We seek individuals with a positive approach, able to build effective relationships, flexible, and capable of multitasking. You should be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Computer skills are essential, including data entry, collating information, ordering supplies, and managing patient records. Tasks include taking messages, sending emails, scanning documents, and tracking patient records. Full training on systems such as Carenotes, Loop, and Tracking will be provided.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Good GCSEs in English and Maths
* Strong communication and customer care skills, both written and verbal
* Professional handling of inquiries from staff, service users, and stakeholders
* Understanding and application of confidentiality principles
* Attention to detail despite interruptions
* Confidence in interacting with all levels of staff and service users
* Ability to travel to multiple sites
