Role Overview
As a Housing Worker at Caring for Communities and People (CCP) in Hereford, you will work part‑time (22.5 hours per week) supporting a supported accommodation team that provides housing for vulnerable adults over 18 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored housing‑related support to residents to maintain or secure suitable accommodation.
* Collect rent, ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained, inspect accommodation, and issue letters to residents when breaches of tenancy have occurred.
* Support the team to achieve positive outcomes for residents.
Qualifications
* Prior experience in the housing sector is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
* Positive attitude to learn and develop professionally.
* Flexibility, patience, resilience, and professionalism in a calm and caring manner.
* Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential.
Working Conditions
Location: Hereford. Contract: Permanent. Pay: £15,738 per year (Band B, £26,230 FTE). Hours: Part‑time, 22.5 hours per week with Monday‑Friday schedule.

Employment Conditions
Annual Leave entitlement pro‑rated for part‑time staff; an extra day of leave accrues per completed financial year (capped at 5). Purchasing additional holidays is capped at 5 per year. Business mileage (45p per mile) is paid for any daily miles over and above the distance from your home to the allocated workplace location and back. A well‑maintained vehicle with valid tax, MOT and insurance covering business use is required.
