We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. It is an occupational requirement that applicants are male in order to meet with the specific needs of the individual we support.
We require somebody who is fun, energetic, has a good sense of humour and is able to to work independently and creatively to come up with new activities and also participate in the ones the person enjoys.
If you are active and like playing darts, snooker/pool, table tennis, like to swim and go to the gym, this could be the position for you. Support will also be required to promote living skills and independence.
The ideal candidate would need to be adaptable, reliable and flexible and to meet the needs of the person and the role. Rota's will be compiled 4 weeks in advance but there may be short notice requests to cover sickness and annual leave. We can offer bank positions and for the right candidate a substantive contract.
Being a support worker at Aspire Support is sometimes demanding but always hugely rewarding for those with passion, drive and commitment to improve the lives of people with a learning disability.
You would need to work collaboratively, positively and widely with the person, their family (in line with respecting the confidentiality of the person), and your Aspire and statutory colleagues,

A UK driving licence and use of a vehicle with business insurance is essential. There will be some travel reimbursements which will be discussed at interview.
