Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Quantity Surveyor located in Durham. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing cost control, creating Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and managing overall costs, including cost planning and cost reporting. Daily tasks include preparing tender and contract documents, performing risk and value management, and providing advice on contractual claims. The role also involves liaising with clients and other professionals to ensure cost-effective project development and completion.
Qualifications
* Experience in Cost Control, Cost Management, Cost Planning, and Cost Reporting
* Proficient in preparing and managing BOQ
* Strong analytical and numerical skills
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
* Relevant professional certifications are a plus
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
