Counsellor or Psychotherapist (Adults and Children)
As a Counsellor or Therapist, you will work alongside Counselling, Support teams and Clinical Services in providing support and appropriate advice to patients and their families dealing with the impact of their life-limiting or incurable illness. You will be the first point of contact for those referred to our services and will take a proactive approach to processing and managing referrals, whilst delivering and developing support group.
Responsibilities
Work in a health or social setting and hold a professional qualification such as BACP, HCPC or UKCP. Provide care, support and hold group meetings as well as one‑to‑one sessions. Manage referrals, process and maintain referral records, and support service users, colleagues and volunteers with compassion and sensitivity. Use IT and be familiar with packages such as Word and Excel.
Qualifications
Professional qualification such as BACP, HCPC or UKCP. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience of providing care in a health or social setting. Knowledge of evaluations, audits and outcomes. Compassionate and sensitive approach. IT proficiency.
Salary
£37,870 a year, 30 hours (Pro‑rata salary)
