About the Role
A warm and supportive primary school in Chester is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from W/C 16th March, continuing until the end of the academic year. This rewarding position involves supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (depending on school need), helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
Provide classroom support to the class teacher, helping deliver engaging lessons
Work with pupils individually and in small groups to reinforce learning
Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusion for all
Assist with classroom organisation, resources, and general administration
Help maintain a positive, nurturing learning environment
Supervise children during playtimes, transitions, and activities
Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Requirements
Experience working with primary-aged children (EYFS–KS2)
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow instructions and use initiative
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Relevant TA qualifications are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
