Overview
The Healthcare Support Worker is an essential member of a multi‑disciplinary team providing high standard care for patients and support to family members, friends and carers. This role requires delivering a high level of Essential Care, promoting rehabilitation and supporting recovery with the opportunity to develop additional skills such as monitoring patient observations, ECGs and phlebotomy. Successful candidates will complete the Care Certificate within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities
* Maintain personal hygiene, continence, mobility, nutrition and hydration for patients on the ward.
* Promote rehabilitation, encouraging patients to regain and maintain independence.
* Support recovery and provide high level of Essential Care.
* Monitor and record patient observations, ECGs and phlebotomy as required.
* Collaborate with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, health care assistants, rehabilitation support workers, advanced clinical practitioners and doctors.
* Engage in flexible working patterns where appropriate.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in health care or willingness to achieve.
* Experience working under distant supervision.
* Experience supporting other workers and delivering patient focused care.
* Ability to work as a team member, recognise own limitations and drive to achieve.
* Typing/data inputting skills and physical skills to handle patients and use appropriate lifting aids.
* Current full driving licence and use of a car during working hours.
* Food hygiene certificate or willingness to undertake.
* Good time management, self‑motivation and evidence of achieving.
