Role: Software Engineer - Java
Location: Hybrid, two days a week in Sheffield
Salary: Up to £50k

Youll be joining a new data science team & software development team that is likely to grow further over the next 12 months.
As a Software Engineer you will be joining a dynamic development team to contribute to the evolution of WebApp and Data Platforms. This role is designed for a passionate individual eager to develop innovative features, resolve technical issues, and engage in the continuous improvement of software engineering processes. Your role will encompass the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deploying, and monitoring, with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.
Thing youll need to bring to the table:
3 years+ of experience in software development
Proficient in Java, Springboot with a testing framework
Strong knowledge of web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, Vue.js, Pinia)
Experience with Cloud Platform, preferably Azure
Good understanding of software architecture and design principles
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with Agile development methodologies
The role would be based mainly from home with travel into Sheffield once a week, so ideally you will drive.
