Start date: September 2025 (full time permanent)

Main Purpose of the Role:
• To lead Maths at KS3, ensuring that there is sufficient forward planning and that schemes of learning and resources are completed to deadlines and meet the requirements
• To lead on the design, development and review of the KS3 Maths schemes of learning, lesson plans and resources, ensuring that there is sufficient challenge
• To design and administer a planned schedule of assessment for the KS3 Maths courses
• To set up routines and systems to ensure that students organise and formally record their learning to aid revision
• To maintain expert knowledge of teaching and learning at KS3, keeping abreast of the latest research and publications, attending courses and disseminating great practice to members of the department
• To monitor and evaluate teaching and learning within KS3 Maths • To support or coach less experienced members of the team to develop great teaching practice at KS3
• To research, amend and administer appropriate assessments for all KS3 Maths courses
• To monitor data at KS3, identifying students requiring support and managing interventions.
