Our Client has a requirement for a Senior/Princiap Civil Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Glasgow (Hybrid)
Summary of the Role
The Civil Engineer will work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team within the Approval Authority, supporting current operations and future programmes.
The team includes Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Building Services, Electrical, and Piping Engineers, responsible for developing and maintaining engineering design substantiation for nuclear facilities to ensure:
* Design Intent is achieved
* Critical Safety Factors are maintained
* Safety and Operational Requirements are met
* Compliance with best practice, legislation, and regulation is upheld
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Author, assess, maintain, and manage nuclear infrastructure design substantiation documents.
2. Prepare and manage design changes/concessions.
3. Present design substantiations to internal nuclear safety committees.
4. Develop EIMT schedules, operating procedures, and associated reports to satisfy design and safety case requirements.
5. Produce and review Periodic Review of Safety reports.
6. Advise internal and external stakeholders on civil/structural engineering matters.
7. Develop scopes for Independent Technical Assessment (ITA) and Independent Peer Review (IPR).
