This is a fixed term post - 21 months (backfill for a Secondment)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior leadership role of Head of Strategy, Programmes and Innovation within the Digital Services Directorate. This is a Board-wide role, reporting to the Director of Digital Services and working as a member of the eHealth Senior Management Team. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and deliver the Board’s Digital Strategy including the day to day running of a large number of highly complex programmes and projects including significant service reconfiguration and System development.
The role offers a unique and rewarding career opportunity, working closely with health care professionals with responsibility for the development of the medium to long term Digital Strategy and supporting associated Innovation Programmes.
The Department has circa 50 staff working across various projects and programmes of work. The post involves working across all clinical specialties as well as with other NHS Scotland Boards and other key internal and external stakeholders.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate significant experience of operating at a senior strategic level, including skills in staff management & development, financial management plus experience of developing and implementing strategic change. Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
You should be qualified to Degree level and possess relevant demonstrable management experience working at a senior level within the NHS.
