Learning & Development Advisor (6-month Fixed Term Contract) with the potential to be extended
Location: Winsford
Salary: £35,253 per annum pro rata
I’ve partnered with a large public sector organisation based in Cheshire to appoint an experienced Learning & Development Advisor for an initial 6-month period.
Reporting to a Learning & Development Partner and working closely with an Organisational Development Manager, you will support the delivery of organisational development initiatives, focusing on leadership, management, coaching, and team development.
This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain further experience in Learning & Development within a large and diverse workforce.
Key responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the People and Organisational Development team, senior leaders, and departmental managers to identify learning needs and implement solutions.
* Deliver leadership programs as part of the corporate training calendar.
* Provide coaching and mentoring to support professional growth across the organization.
* Design and improve training materials.
* Develop and deliver training initiatives on topics like personal effectiveness, talent management, workforce planning, conflict management, psychometrics, and project management.
* Coordinate with external training providers.
* Promote a positive, inclusive culture that encourages ongoing development, collaboration, and high performance.
Requirements:
* Experienced HR professional with a background in developing and delivering leadership training using blended learning approaches (face-to-face, virtual, coaching, action learning).
* Strong advisory skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
* Ability to measure and evaluate training effectiveness.
* Knowledge of adult learning principles and modern training methods.
* Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and reprioritize as needed.
* Experience in public sector/not-for-profit or commercial environments is preferred but not essential.
* Degree or CIPD qualification preferred; relevant experience is also highly valued.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a wider HR team.
