Responsibilities
* Work on a varied caseload using technology, equipment, and facilities that are state‑of‑the‑art.
* Supervise, support, and develop junior team members.
* Deliver high‑quality care and experiences for patients that are clinically effective, evidence‑based, and appropriate.
* Be trained as a Surgical First Assistant or be prepared to undertake the training with us at Nuffield Health.
* Complete clinical audits where appropriate – full training will be provided.
* Work as a Senior Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner: focused, detail‑oriented, empathetic, and possessing excellent communication skills.
* Ensure consistent promotion of best evidence‑based practice within own scope of practice.
* Engage with colleagues at all levels across the hospital and contribute appropriately to achieving hospital goals within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
* Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HCPC) and have post‑registration experience in scrub roles within a theatre environment.
* Team player with a passion for exceptional patient care and high levels of focus and engagement.
* Passion for high standards and a meticulous eye for detail.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
* Flexible and motivated, with willingness to undertake training as required.
