Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated professional to help us with our day-to-day sales and estimating tasks. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in assessing project costs, reviewing data, and providing accurate estimates to support our construction projects.
What you'll do
* Evaluate project requirements and specifications to determine accurate cost estimates
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimating
* Analyse planning & technical construction drawings, and other documentation to create precise estimates
* Present estimates to customers and address any inquiries or modifications
* Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and provide cost variance analysis
* Ensure live projects are kept within budgets, working closely with the company contracts manager
Required Skills
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
* Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners
* Strong organisational and decision-making skills is essential
Nice-to-Have
* Experience with project management software
* Certification in estimating or related field
* Good general understanding of the timber frame industry
* Not be afraid to take on different responsibilities & duties within the role

Pay: £32,500.00-£34,500.00 per year
Expected hours: 7.5 - 37.5 per week
