Extrusion Operative Location: Antrim Rate of Pay: £14.31per hour Shift Pattern: Continental shifts (2-week rotation) Days: 6:00am – 6:00pm Nights: 6:00pm – 6:00am About the Role Our client, a leading manufacturer within the building materials sector, is seeking an Extrusion Operative to join their production team. Operating in a modern, machine-driven environment, you will play a key role in producing high-quality uPVC products used in window and door systems for both bespoke and high-volume projects. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion machinery in line with production schedules Ensure all products meet required quality specifications and report defects where necessary Perform routine quality checks and accurately complete production documentation Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments to maintain optimal efficiency Assist with tool changes, machine start-ups, and shutdowns Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets Ensure correct handling and loading of raw materials Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures Support basic maintenance tasks and assist with troubleshooting faults About You Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team Good communication skills Flexibility and willingness to work shift patterns Desirable (but not essential) Experience operating extrusion machinery (ideally within uPVC manufacturing) Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices Mechanical aptitude or experience with machinery troubleshooting What’s on Offer Opportunity to work with a well-established, forward-thinking manufacturing business Structured shift pattern offering work-life balance flexibility Supportive team environment with opportunities to develop technical skills
