Senior Structural Designer
Location: Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Structural Designer to join a leading manufacturer. Working within the design team, you will be responsible for developing innovative design solutions and supporting projects from concept through to production. You will use CAD software to create designs, produce samples and prototypes, support the sales team with design solutions, and manage multiple projects from concept through to completion.
Non‑Negotiable Requirements
* CAD skills, particularly IMPACT software
* Proven experience in a design role within a manufacturing setting
* Good project management skills
Requirements
* Understanding of continuous improvement and reliability practices
* CAD skills, particularly IMPACT software
* Ability to work closely with customers to develop design solutions
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Desirable Requirements
* Previous experience in a senior or lead design position
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
* Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
* Understanding of commercial and customer‑driven projects
* Experience liaising directly with customers on design requirements
