Overview
Our client, a highly regarded organisation operating within the defence and advanced engineering sector, is seeking a Component Engineer to join their Component Engineering function. This role plays a key support position across engineering and the wider business, delivering technical guidance, robust data management, and high-quality component support. This opportunity would suit an individual with strong component knowledge who enjoys working within a structured, multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
Responsibilities
* Responding to component-related support queries from internal stakeholders
* Processing and maintaining component data, including lifecycle, export control, and REACH/RoHS compliance
* Completing departmental administration tasks in line with defined processes
* Providing support across electronic, electrical, mechanical, or materials commodities
* Raising and managing requests with suppliers as required
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the team
Qualifications
* Proven knowledge and experience of engineering components and parts
* An engineering degree or equivalent relevant industry experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
