About the role
In your role as IT Configuration Analyst, you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset.
This role provides a great opportunity to report to our IT Service Desk & Support Manager as part of the USS Technology Services group.
As an IT Configuration Analyst, you will manage configuration-related activities such as asset, configuration, and lifecycle management.
The role also involves building and configuring end-user compute hardware and ensuring IT build areas meet standards.
You will maintain the accuracy of configuration data within ITSM & CMDB tools, aligned with ITILv4 & USS policies.
You will act as a central contact for configuration-related queries and contribute to incident resolution and high-quality IT service delivery.
This position is based in London, with occasional travel to Liverpool.
What you will be doing
* Support and guide Configuration Management across London and Liverpool IT teams.
* Manage the full asset lifecycle for hardware, software, and equipment.
* Develop processes for tracking IT assets from purchase to decommission.
* Perform inventories, monitor asset usage, and maintain records and reports.
* Deploy end-user hardware and maintain IT Build & Storage areas.
* Standardize equipment to reduce costs and identify improvements.
* Liaise with suppliers and support procurement, reporting, and issue resolution.
