City Care Partnership, an organisation which has been recognised as Outstanding by the CQC and has an area Autism Accreditation are recruiting a Senior Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) Practitioner for our services in Levenshulme and Stockport, Manchester.
You will be working as part of the Central Support Team (CST). The team are responsible for developing services in line with the organisational Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) policy. Your focus will be to work in partnership with support teams to create and maintain capable environments that are sensitive to the individual needs and preferences of the people we support. You will be responsible for an allocated area and overseeing Practice Leads within the organisation and will work closely with the other members of the CST to ensure effective use of resources, including the use of third-party support.
You will be responsible for supporting the facilitation of behavioural assessments via both direct and indirect recording methods, and a variety of skill development programs. You will support teams to be to improve the density, variety and quality of activities a person is engaged in, with the overarching aim to improve the person's quality of life.
We are looking for creative and organised individuals who are able to work flexibility alongside existing staff teams and on their own. It is vital the person has a good understanding of the values, theories, evidence base, and processes of PBS and Applied Behaviour Analysis. You must have at least 12 months of experience working with adults with learning disabilities and autism, and a full manual driving licence is preferred as you will have access to the Company's vehicles. The successful individual will also hold a formal qualification in PBS, such as a Master's degree and have completed their BCBA/ UKBA (cert) or have the equivalent of a Level 7 diploma in PBS, holding board registration with the BACB/ UKSBA.
