We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to provide holiday cover for one of our established customers based in Birchington. This is a great opportunity for reliable drivers looking for consistent shifts within a busy fresh produce operation. The Role: HGV1 shunting using a Tug (no specific Tug experience required) Collecting loaded trailers from pack houses Transporting trailers to the warehouse for dispatch Working within a 7-day-a-week operation Induction Process: A three day induction will be arranged prior to starting work. This will include: Familiarisation with equipment Overview of pack house locations Guidance on contacts and required paperwork Tips on bay approaches and reversing angles (as bay layouts vary) Requirements: Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) licence Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card Previous shunting or trailer experience preferred Confident reversing and manoeuvring This position is available to cover holiday and we can provide these dates in advance.
