Job Description
Conveyancing Career Paralegal | Wiltshire | Up to £30k | Supportive Team
I'm looking to speak with a paralegal with at least a year’s experience in residential conveyancing, interested in joining an established firm with a loyal client base, calm and collaborative working culture, and a solid reputation across Wiltshire.
The property team is busy and growing, offering the chance for someone who’s confident managing their own tasks and genuinely enjoys supporting on a varied caseload.
Day-to-day, you’ll be drafting contract packs, ordering searches, preparing AP1s and TR1s, handling SDLT returns, chasing enquiries, updating clients, and keeping everything moving smoothly. You’ll be involved in all aspects of residential work (sales, purchases, remortgages, both freehold and leasehold) while working closely with experienced fee earners who can support and guide where needed.
The team is made up of four property fee earners and a small group of paralegals and secretarial staff, all based in a lovely, centrally located office. The firm as a whole is around 30 people across Wiltshire; compact, well run, well respected, and genuinely friendly. They’ve got a great track record for internal progression - paralegals have gone on to take ownership of their own matters or start training contracts.
You’ll be part of a team where tenure is high, people stick around, not just because the work is interesting and the clients are loyal, but because the environment is genuinely supportive. There's a good balance of structure and flexibility, and while the hours are standard Monday to Friday, 9–5, there’s a sensible approach to work/life balance.
The role is office-based in Chippenham and comes with a salary in the region of £26k - £30k depending on experience. You’ll also get 33 days’ holiday, and the chance to earn up to 10 extra days for long service, along with a pension, employee discounts.
