Job Role: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential. Accountable to: Responsible Individual, Senior Leadership Team. Location: Doncaster Hours of Employment: Full time – 40 hours per week, plus on call duties as required to meet the needs of the organisation. Included within salary are 2 weekday on calls per week (Monday to Thursday) and 1 weekend per calendar month (Friday to Sunday), any additional on call is paid at the prevailing rate. Job Summary: The Registered Service Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective running of the home, providing leadership and guidance to the staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting the safety and well-being of the Children and young people. Leadership and Management: Child-Centred Care: Quality Assurance: Communication and Partnership: Financial Management: Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Person Specification: • Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or willingness to obtain within the first 2 years of employment • Significant experience in a management role within a residential childcare setting. • Proven track record of successful Ofsted inspections and compliance, or proven understanding of this process where the manager has not previously undergone an inspection • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations governing children's homes. • Excellent leadership and team management skills. • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. • Ability to work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals
