Clinic Receptionist Job Description
General Summary;
Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome patients and visitors as soon as they arrive at the clinic
* Direct patients and visitors to the appropriate person
* Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
* Make medical appointments with chosen doctor/associate/skin therapists
* Communicate well with doctors/associate/skin therapists
* Take electronic payments
* Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
* Provide accurate information in-person and via phone/email
* Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
* Maintain clinic security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (Door entry system, monitor, Fire log)
* Update clinic calendars and schedule meetings
* Perform other clerical receptionist duties as required
* Perform housekeeping tasks as required
Requirements
* Experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
* Previous experience in working on clinic/medical computer systems
* Professional attitude and appearance
* Solid written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
* Excellent organizational skills
* Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
* Excellent Customer service attitude
