As Programme Manager, you will lead the operational delivery, performance and continuous improvement of the local DESP, ensuring that high‑quality, patient‑centred screening services are consistently delivered across the region.
You’ll work closely with the Clinical lead, Planned Care Pathway Lead, Assistant Director of Specialist services, Programme Team Leads in HCT & ENHT & NHS England to maintain compliance with national screening standards and drive innovation in service delivery.
Responsibilities
* Oversee day‑to‑day management of the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme across Herts & West Essex
* Ensure full compliance with national DESP standards, KPIs, and quality assurance requirements
* Lead service planning, performance monitoring, and reporting
* Manage relationships with staff within HCT & ENHT
* Support incident management, governance processes, and Quality Assurance visits
* Drive service improvements, pathway optimisation, and patient experience initiatives
* Provide leadership to programme staff
