The Pall Mall Surgery are looking to appoint an experienced operations manager on a full-time basis for 37 hours per week. The post-holder will be required to work as part of the Pall Mall Surgery senior management team under the direction of the GP Partners and practice business manager in providing support and management to the practice team, the Primary Care Network (PCN) team and the surgery patient population of 22,000 patients. The practice operations manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice and PCN for effective day-to-day running of the site and providing support to the business manager. The main responsibilities include: HR functions including - dealing with daily staff issues, providing line-management support to team leads and staff. Performance management and appraisals, co-ordination of training, management of annual leave processes, managing recruitment, onboarding and leavers processes adhering to GDPR and other regulations. Liaising with patients as required including dealing with compliments, suggestions and complaints. Ensure significant/learning events are managed and reported appropriately in line with NHS contractual requirements. Dealing with I.T. issues and new access requests. Management of ad-hoc maintenance of the building – reporting issues timeously for resolution by NHS Property Services. Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards appropriate for primary care. Being the point of contact between the practice and the Patient Participation Group for their ongoing development. Liaising with external colleagues, suppliers and other businesses. Co-ordination of seasonal vaccination services (i.e. flu vaccinations, covid vaccinations) ensuring clinics and home visits provided as needed. We have 6 GP partners, 9 salaried GP’s as well as a large team of clinical and non-clinical staff helping to care for our practice list. We are also part the SS9 SOUTH PCN, working in collaboration with The Highlands Surgery to provide additional services to both practice populations.
